Overview of the Issue

BEAM may fail to authenticate your login credentials, even when the correct password is entered. This issue is often accompanied by additional symptoms, such as:

  • Receiving a "wrong password" error message.

  • The "Forgot password" link leading to a 404 error page.

Root Cause

The primary cause of this issue is outdated plugin versions that are incompatible with our newest authentication server. When the plugin is not updated to the latest version, it cannot communicate properly with the server, leading to login or activation failures.

Solution

To resolve this issue, follow these steps:

  1. Update BEAM: Ensure that the plugin is updated to the latest version. For BEAM, use v2.3.0 or later. Visit your downloads page here to download and install the most recent update.

  2. Reattempt Login or Activation: After updating BEAM, try logging in or activating it again using your credentials.
