BEAM Compatibility Issues - v1.4.1 and v1.4.2

Created by Casey Kolb, Modified on Fri, 31 Jan at 5:58 PM by Casey Kolb

Our developers recently discovered a compatibility issue with BEAM versions 1.4.1 and 1.4.2. If you updated from BEAM v1.3.5 or earlier to BEAM v1.4.1 or v1.4.2, we require an immediate update to v1.4.3 or higher to avoid backwards compatibility issues with previous projects.

Important Notes:

  • We released BEAM versions 1.4.1 and 1.4.2 on January 30th, 2025
  • BEAM v1.4.3 reintroduces backwards compatibility for projects with BEAM 1.3.5 and earlier. After updating, none of those projects will be affected.
  • This issue will only affect projects using BEAM 1.4.1 and 1.4.2. If you saved any new projects using BEAM v1.4.1 or v1.4.2, please follow the steps below before updating to BEAM v1.4.3

In order to save previous work done in BEAM 1.4.1-1.4.2, please follow these instructions:

  • Go to affected project: open BEAM instances. Save preset for each instance.
  • Update BEAM by running installer for v1.4.3 or higher.
  • Go to affected project: Replace BEAM instances. Load preset for each instance.

If you cannot resave BEAM instances in sessions using versions 1.4.1 or 1.4.2, we have created a BEAM variant installer to recover these sessions. Please reach out to our support team to receive download links for this special build.
