Installing CUBE correctly is essential to ensure smooth performance and avoid common issues. This guide outlines the best practices for installation to help you get started.
If you encounter issues during installation, it is recommended to perform a full uninstall and reinstall of CUBE by following the instructions here.
Downloading CUBE
To download CUBE, first log into your Lunacy account at lunacy.audio. Once logged in, navigate to your Downloads page. Here you will see a list of your owned products.
To download CUBE or CUBE Mini, click the Mac or Windows button in the CUBE & CUBE Mini Installer box for your system.
Installing CUBE
After downloading the installer, you can open it to begin installing. Follow the steps in the installer to install CUBE or CUBE Mini as a standalone program and plugin in VST, AU, and AAX formats.
Important: Always install CUBE to your computer’s internal drive initially to ensure the installation and content download processes complete successfully.
Installing Core Samples
Once the installation is complete, it's time to install the core sample library. Open CUBE as a standalone or VST and enter your Lunacy credentials to sign in. Once installed, you'll be prompted to download the core sample library. Follow the prompt to install the core library.
Note: If you would like to store your samples on an external SSD, we recommend first installing the samples on your internal drive for best results. Once complete, you can move your samples to your external SSD following these steps.

Installing CUBE Expansions
Once CUBE and its core samples have been installed, you can install any expansion packs you own. This can be done by opening CUBE and navigating to the Pack Portal in the upper-right of the plugin window. The Pack Portal can be used to manage any CUBE expansions you own.
Any expansions you own will have a purple Download button below its icon. Click Download to automatically download and install the expansion to your CUBE installation. Once you're done, you can close the pack portal and begin using CUBE.
